Phrases and Scripts

Don't want my momma to know... I was passing by in the hallway and two girls were talking and that's all I heard.

no manches(don't stain) which is used in the context of no way. But my aunt was saying that when my other aunt was explaining something from work.

I'm not allergic to everything, just one thing and that one thing is in everything. My friend and I having a discussion.

Otra raya para el tigre(another stripe for the tiger) My dad says lots of weird things.
He was talking about my brother about him achieving a new certification.

Are you cereal? Friends talking in class and they were using food puns in their conversation.

The Achievement!
by
Betty Urzua

Ext. In a morning office group meeting of 20 people. Some standing and some sitting down on their desks.

Derek, the floor manager, is in the middle of the room
with his hands behind his back swaying back and forth
waiting for everyone to gather around. He grabs his cup of coffee and takes some sips while everyone is settling down.

Derek
Someone earned another stripe on the tiger today!
Let's give a round of applause to Jessica for earning another stripe of achievement!

Jessica- standing in the back puts on a grin on her face after hearing the great news. She then starts blushing and just nods her head to Jim.

Derek (cont'd)
You deserve this Jessica and thank you for your hard work. Now lets get to business and talk about today's goals.

Music Video Analysis

The name of the song is Tijuana Sound Machine by Nortec Collective
The video is a combination of conceptual and very little performance.
There are many visual elements that used in the video. Shape and line being the most dominant. Every different shot one is drawn to the line/shapes of the background, clothing, or the person itself. The video tried to stay with the same type of lighting, a fluorescent warm feel to it. The rhythm is the same throughout the whole video. All these elements stay the same in the whole video. There is a repetition that causes the video have some sort of unity.
One key moment is the moment they do a close up of the sign that says "Tijuana Sound Machine" and they pan the camera from left to right. Another key moment would be with they do a extreme close up to the hand playing the accordion. And I feel each dancer has it's key moment because they do many shots of them dancing, close-up, medium shots, and wide shots.
The camera stay static on the dancers which is like 80% of the time but the 20% that the camera moves the camera pans from one side to another. I feel that the camera moves to and more importance to those people.
The video doesn't follow a story, it reinterpreted in a way that they use the music for inspiration for the dancers to dance to it. It add an extra feeling seeing seeing different type of styles combined to have somewhat the same rhythm for the same song.

My life

Scarlett & I

My name is Betty Urzua, I'm 21 years old, happily married, and have a 2 year old daughter. I love to spend time with my daughter, we enjoy going to that park and spend time our afternoons there. My husband travels a lot as a roofer so most of my days consist of being with my daughter, Scarlett. I haven't had the chance or made the time to actually work on stuff I like because my toddler makes it hard to do so.
My favorite type of movies would be Disney movies in general. I prefer to step out of the real world and just imagine I'm in the movie. My favorite actor would be Hugh Jackman and my favorite actress would be Emma Stone. I don't really have a specific type of music that I love because I like to mix it up from the most Mexican type of music you can imagine to the classical music.
My favorite type of media would be graphic designs. I love being on the computer and have endless possibilities of what type of design you want to make. I love that all the tools are in one place and it's not messy. I enjoy working with charcoal but it's very time consuming and super messy. I enjoy it a lot but I prefer being comfy and working on a screen.
