  1. Your clips are very clear! Which is what my main focus was, also the audio was good too. Overall great project!

  2. The transition between b roll/interview was seamless. It was a really great look into a subject I had no idea about at all. Bravo :)

  3. It looks great. I just wish there was a little more b-role to see more of the kids. Also maybe some very quiet music would add just a little more.

  4. Great job! I liked the multiple shots you used to tell the story. It helped to keep it visually interesting while your subject continued to tell her story.

  5. i think this needed music. it felt more like just an interview to me than anything. i loved the way it was put together, though, and how she talked about the adoption and the children's backgrounds. i feel like the location for the interview could've been in a more bright place -- northside is just so blah to begin with. the content in the interview and the pictures and videos added were very good, though.

  6. I think you successfully presented good content that gave us enough information. One thing that I noticed at the beginning is the difference in white balance between the two cameras. Also I would've loved to see the dad, and more footage of the kids in present day. The shots you had of them playing were good, I just wanted to see more.

  7. It seemed like there wasn't a lot of B roll. The different angles of the interviewee were good. Felt there was a lot of shots of the book.

  8. I think the documentary told her story really well. There was a great beginning, middle, and end. I just wish you would have had more b-roll than just her looking at the page of the scrapbook. It was hard at times to see what was on the pages and it would have been nice if maybe you would have gotten a close-up of just the book. There were also a few spots that could have been covered by b-roll to hide a jump cut in the interview. I also wish you would have added some music. But I think that the story was told extremely well and you did great!

  9. I really enjoy the over the shoulder shots of the subject looking through the photo books, because it makes the whole video that much more intimate, like we're there. I think you guys have a great intro, going through the various photos of each child and then the family. The ending did come somewhat abruptly, but something as simple as a much slower fade out may have worked. Overall, I was really interested, and could have listened/watched for longer. Great work!

  10. Really great documentary. I feel like going through the picture books made it much more personal, it allowed us to take a look at the children's pasts. Very nice b-roll and interview!
